Coasters - Commission

These five coasters were designed to complement a client’s custom-made breakfast bar, which had just been installed in his home in Wellington.  They are made from stainless steel and recycled native New Zealand wood.

Each coaster features a different configuration of wood. The five pieces of timber within each one were initially laser-cut then hand-finished and glued into place around the stainless steel base.

The native timbers include: Rimu, Kauri, Totara, Tawa, Red Miro
